President’s Letter – October 2016

President’s Letter – October 2016

Our next Chefs meeting is on November 14th at 6pm at Beacon College in Leesburg.

Hosted by Simon Vaz

Gulf to Lakes has some wonderful out reaches coming up and I’m excited to share what we have been up to.

As chefs we tend to get overwhelmed with work and often overlook meetings.

Going into my second year as President I might get a little discouraged but, then I look at the students I teach each day and remember it’s not just about me but their future as well.

The ACF continues to grow and change making our craft even better. We as members not only have opportunities to make a difference but as leaders of our field we have responsibility to guide the future.

Educators, post the meeting for your students – these connections will open doors for their careers as it has for almost all members.

Chefs, share meeting dates with your staff and encourage them to become certified.

In closing, come support our chapter, enjoy some of Simon’s great food, learn a little with his education portion and find out about what community service project we are working on.

I look forward to seeing all of our members in a few weeks. Take a couple hours and show some support.
