Excellent Sous Chef with the desire to move to the next level – St Croix

help wantedPosition is available for a self starter who has a proven track record as an excellent sous chef with the desire to move to the next level. This position is in a small restaurant (80 seats) with seasonal busy nights. Candidate will be able to cook from scratch, is a team player, can organize a small crew of cooks, lead by example and is a bad ass cook! The right individual has the opportunity to become the head chef (chef de cuisine) by the 2017 season. Restaurant enjoys excellent reputation for food and received several awards. Chef must be able to work with existing menu but be creative to offer daily specials. The energetic chef is a diplomat with local employees, enjoys Caribbean island life, and is tactful and open to a new experience. Position is mostly self governed under the guidance of the owners and Exec. Chef.  Property is a wedding destination and has the occasional group and banquet business. Work week includes some split shifts and Sunday brunch, restaurant closed 2 days per week. Position is open and needs to be filled asap.
