President’s Letter – April 2016

Dear Chefs, Colleagues, and Friends,Chef John Bell, CEC

We had a great April meeting hosted by Simon Vaz at Beacon College in Leesburg.

Simon did a traditional Jamaican dish as a demo and showed his heritage, as well as served a traditional Jamacian menu. he invited a wonderful speaker who graduated from Art Institute in Tampa, and now works for Waffle House.

This May’s meeting will be held on May 9th at Lake Technical College hosted by Chef Ken Koenig.

The education portion will be on Gastronomy and this is an incredible opportunity for both experienced chefs and young ones to learn.

Meeting starts at 6pm in the Culinary Arts room at Lake Tech in Eustis, Florida.

Come support our chapter event, Lake Tech, and join us toLake-Technical-Center-E-7432 fellowship, learn, grow and network. This is a great chance to show your students and your staff a great school and an opportunity to meet incredibly talented chefs.

We look forward to seeing everyone on May 9th.
