help wantedSous Chef/First Cook: The Monarch at Royal Highlands Golf Club in Leesburg, Florida has an immediate opening for a “Kitchen Professional”.  Must be able to:

  • Present food in an appetizing manner.
  • Work within established recipe spec and cards.
  • Assist with production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Assist with the estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
  • Assist with the Inspection of supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of food and assist other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Assist with the monitoring and sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
  • Assist with ordering or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
  • Help analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Assist with and recommend equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Prepare and cook foods of all types on a regular basis and for special guests or functions.
  • Assist with the collaboration with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
  • Check the quantity, pricing and quality of received prior to preparing and serving.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
  • Strong communication skills and team player is a must!
