How fast can you shuck an oyster? Join us March 3rd, 2014 for the Fourth Annual Bar Harbor Seafood Challenge where student culinary teams from across the state come together for a casual and friendly peer-to-peer competition, testing their seafood knowledge, butchery and cooking skills. In this fast-paced, round robin competition, teams of four students will encounter a myriad of “mystery basket” stations, ranging from trivia questions to oyster shucking, and everything “seafood” in between. The winning team receives bragging rights for a year and their choice pick from the ACF prize table.

As always, it is highly recommended that everyone arrive by 6:00 pm so that they may give a tour of the expanded Bar Harbor facility. It is also suggested that you dress warmly or wear something warm under your chef coat as the rooms are now anywhere between 38 and 55 degrees. Student Teams must show up at 6:00 pm in order for the event to begin promptly by 6:30 pm, food served by 7:30 pm, and then awards & raffles by 8:30 pm.

Please bring a guest! Chefs, culinary students and anyone supporting the culinary community that wishes to become an ACF member is invited to attend.
