Richard PellicanChef Richard Pellicane, CEC, CDM is from New York and grew up in the food business.  As a kid Richard worked in family deli’s and pizza shops. He moved down to Florida in 1986 and  worked in his family’s Italian restaurant. A  year later he entered the United States Navy as a firefighter. Chef Pellicane is also a Desert Storm veteran. Chef Pellicane was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1992. He then went into the mobile catering profession. Chef Pellicane got tired of that and decided to further his culinary training and went to culinary school in Lakeland, Florida.  He graduated from there in 2000. Since then he became a Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Executive Chef.  Richard is also Certified Food Protection Manager through ServeSafe program. Presently, Chef Pellicane is the Food Service Director and Safety Officer at South Tampa Health and Rehabilitation Center. Chef Pellicane has held that position for the past 5 1/2 years.gulf_to_lakes_logo
