Presidents Message October 2013

Hello Chefs, Cooks and Educators!

Let me begin by saying thank you to all of the people who attended our last meeting!  It was great seeing so many of you along with your guests!

I would especially like to thank those of you who attend on a regular basis and for those who assist with your volunteer efforts in helping the club with all of its functions ~ we couldn’t do it without you.

I look forward to seeing you all again at our next chapter meeting which will be on October 14th at Eustis High School located at 1300 E Washington Ave, Eustis Florida 32726.  The meeting will be hosted by Chef Nicole Austin and will start at 6 PM.   Please feel free to contact Chef Austin at 352-357-9196 for directions and information.

I had considered including the Chefs to Lake Chapter in participating in the Taste of Mt. Dora, this year, but unfortunately, we really did not have enough time to make this a successful event for the club.  We will look into it more timely next year.

Please look forward to discussing the details of our Chapter Christmas Party at the next meeting.  Date, location, etc.  Time is slipping by and we really need to make some concrete decisions.

There are only a few spots left for Cured Cuisine’s charcuterie class with Chef Polcyn in Cape Coral, Florida.  If interested, please see information below:

I encourage everyone to please make suggestions on the materials used in education at our meetings as well as upcoming events you might like to see the chapter being involved with. This is very important for curriculum, timely participation, and success!


Chapter Elections are coming up next month ~ please consider serving on the board ~ the chapter really needs YOU!
